Met my Mum for coffee today, we went to Wetherspoons (cheap decent Latte) and we sat chatting for some time about, ooh – stuff. Mum keeps me up to date on her voluntary work and I keep her upto date on my paintings and life (both of which intertwine with the other).
It was my fellas birthday and she was looking for a card with cycling on (he cycles everyday) and Clintons didn’t have one – so she told them! That’s my Mum for you – never afraid to let people know they don’t have what she wants and that’s quite a lot of the time, usually because she has a knack of looking for things that don’t exist in that moment (but probably did 5 years ago) quite a skill really!
Took my first print (of a 195 limited edition run) of Casa Goldoni to a customer in Mansfield today – she was very pleased with it, strange place to find – had to phone her from the car and ask where her house was – she came out in the end.
Driving to Mansfield from Nottingham was a lovely trip, the countryside around Mansfield is beautiful; rolling hills, woods, Papplewick – you could just breath in the beauty – wish I’d had my camera to take some shots, some lovely potential paintings out there.
Well. that’s me for the day off for a shower now the lamb stew and couscous for tea – yummy
